Jesus Saves

No kidding.
Prayer works too.

A kid from my boyfriend's neighborhood went missing. Last seen Thursday. It's Sunday.
I heard about it earlier, but didn't read into it. My boyfriend told me to read it 20 minutes ago. I read it. Looked it up on twitter then saw a tweet that said something to the effect of "Don't just say 'praying for the family' actually do it. Pray for them." I stopped and prayed.

2 minutes later, I looked him up again because I couldn't get this kids face out of my head and they said that he has been found. Prayer does work. I know that my prayer isn't the only one that matters and that hundreds of people were praying for him too, but for me, after stopping and praying for that one minute, he was found.

Thank you, God.

This is what I like to call "procrastination"

I'm supposed to be studying for a biology test right now. But I am obviously not...

I'm watching youtube videos and NYC 22. I am exhausted. I've had a long weekend. I'm tired.

You make me completely miserable....

For the last few days, I've been MISERABLE.

Reason #1- My allergies have been out of this world. My left eye has been so swollen that I've debated not showing up to work because I can barely keep it open. I pop Benadryl like it's fucking candy. It sucks and my nose itches and my eyes water when I scratch my nose. My nose actually started bleeding and I passed some blood clots, which was AWESOME. But this morning, I took Allegra and it was like none of that happened. I sneezed a couple of times, but I think that just shows how bad the pollen and junk in the air is in the south right now.

Reason #2- I forget everything. Like literally everything. I keep thinking it's Friday too, which I do sometimes, but not 3 days in a row. Maybe I'm just doing some wishful thinking. But I used to be able to remember customer orders, but recently here, I can't even remember drinks and it's a 5 second walk from the customer to my drink machine at work. So I've started taking my ticket book with me to the tables. I feel like an old person.

Reason #3- My arthritis is bad. I took a midterm test for my Comp II class yesterday which involved a lot of writing and when my hand wasn't sticking to the pencil, it was cramping and I had to drop the pencil. It's so uncomfortable and so painful. It really makes me feel like an old person.

Reason #4- My back hurts. It's like cramping, but not as bad and if I pop it, usually it gets better.

Reason #5- I complain so much.

But on the plus side, I got to do so many interesting things this past weekend.

On Friday, there was Relay for Life night at the local university. One of my best friend participated in the Mr. Relay Pageant. He was a female cheerleader. Shaved his legs. Wore a wig. I applied his nail polish for him. It looked really bad, but he was worried about it the entire night. Didn't want to do too much because he was afraid that his nail polish would chip. Men... lol He also received a bacterial infection from shaving his legs. The guy has really thick leg hairs hahaha

Saturday I took photos for my brother's prom. They came out AMAZING. I really enjoyed taking the pictures. My brother's girlfriend looked gorgeous. His best friend for the last three years and his date looked fabulous. I was so excited about them finally having prom to go to even though it means that they are growing up.

Sunday, I went to Tallahassee, Fl. with a friend of mine to paint pictures of our dogs. I must say that mine came out really well. My doggy has never looked so good :)

Tuesday was my brother's 18th birthday. It was a little bittersweet because he's my baby bro. He was the little asian kid who liked playing power rangers, pokemon, digimon and things like that. Not the 18 year old driving around in a big truck going to prom and buying cigarrettes and such.

My schedule for the next few days looks like this. Thursday- Double shift. Friday- Double Shift. Saturday- Double Shift. Monday- double shift.  My goodness. I'm going to rip Mrs.Knowitall's throat out. Like really rip it out. Maybe her heart too.
But oh well. It's money.

Just some thoughts...

Trayvon Martin- I know that everyone is talking about this case. George Zimmerman was charged yesterday with 2nd degree murder in the shooting death of Martin. I do believe that the Sanford City Police did the kid's family and injustice by not arresting Zimmerman sooner. The guy killed the kid. This should have been cared for when it happened. Now the entire nation is watching very closely for any screw up.

Work- We were BUSY at work today. Mrs. Knowitall almost started crying because of the stress. I made over 30 bucks for only a couple of hours work. We opened an hour late because someone drove into our big sign up front which the water line happens to be right under. They broke our sign. They broke our water line. It took a while for them to get it running again and then we opened. And then everyone and their grandma showed up. Normally the wait for food is 5 minutes if there are a couple of tables in the restaurant. Today it was 30 minutes. Our restaurant caters to pretty much military only. There are very few civilians that come out to eat. We're located about 15 miles out of town, so it's inconvenient for people to drive all the way out just for food. Now if gas prices were in the $2 range like they were last year or the year before, then it wouldn't be an issue.

Gas Prices- WHAT A SCAM! Now you and I both know that if the companies got their money together, subtracted their salaries, worker salaries, cost of equipment and repairs, they could give gas away for a day or two and then drop the prices a couple dollars for forever. I pay $3.81 per gallon. It costs me over $45 to fill up. The first time I paid for my own gas, it took $25 to fill up. The price has pretty much doubled since I started driving. It makes me wanna sue the gas companies. How dare they take the money I work hard for so they can go on paid vacations to foreign countries? I can barely even afford to drive across town just to hang out with friends. How dare they hike up prices because Iran "threatened" us when they know that we get most of our oil from Canada? How dare they even consider Iran a threat? It's dangerous, I understand, but when the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan were officially going on, gas was never this high.

I am going to write something on hypocritical racism pretty soon. I have an ethics class and there are a few people in my class who are "hypocritically racist." And please keep in mind that this is MY OPINION. I don't expect people to read this and be like, "She's right. This is how I'm gonna think FOREVER." I do speak for both sides though, so keep that in mind also. And you may not agree with what I think and you can tell me how you see it. Just don't tell me I'm wrong unless you can back it up with solid proof, okay
Y'all have a good night :)

Oh tomorrow (Friday April 13, 2012) is Honor the Military Child. Wear purple if you can. I'm a military child and I will be wearing purple :)

I hate Lupron.

I was on Lupron from October 2011-March 2012.
After suffering through severe depression and being achy all the time, I finally had my surgery on March 5th and ended my "era with Lupron".
Although I ended my "era", I still suffer everyday from side effects.
I am still depressed. I ache even worse than I did before. I'm grumpy. My hair is thinning little by little.
Fucking sucks.
And last night, I took birth control for the first time since October. I've thrown up 3xs since then. Not a nice throw up (can they be nice?), but a very painful acidic type of throw up. Enough to make me hoarse and skip work for the day. I hate skipping work, even though I work with Mrs. Knowitall. I like my money.
I still feel uneasy on the stomach.
I think my body went into estrogen overload and was rejecting the birth control pill.
Well body, it was a couple of hours too late. That pill was long since dissolved by the time you decided to upchuck the contents of my stomach.

So, right now, I'm watching the Voice and trying to ignore the "upsettity" that is my stomach. (Lori Green, if you read this, you'll know exactly who I am by that word)
If you're reading this, you have a good night :)

I'm sorry I had a bad day again...

I am having a pain day again. We were busy at work which meant a lot of fast walking and bumping into things. Now my body hurts.

I have pain all the time. Like it's strange when I'm not hurting. It's relieving, but strange. I'm so used to things hurting now a days. I'm constantly on ibuprofen which is not good for you, but I'm not about to take perc or vico everyday like that. I used to. But then I'd take it just for the hell of it. So I stopped. And got sick. But then I got better.

My legs used to hurt so bad that I couldn't walk. They do it every once in a while still. In fact, when I was in AFROTC, I would spend the nights after PT crying in bed because I couldn't move. The pain would start in my knees and radiate up my thighs. The doctor thought it was my back, but it wasn't. I found out that I have dislocated kneecaps. Fun stuff. My ortho doc wanted to do surgery that would put me out of any kind of fast walking/running for at least 6 months. I wanted to do it, but my parents said I'm too young. So I just live with the pain.

My abdomen is still hurting from surgery. Doesn't help that I do more than I'm supposed to.

Anyways, my day was busy. Work then walmart then back to work then home then Firehouse Subs then boyfriends house then home again. I gotta do like nothing tomorrow, but I'm going get skin cancer aka tanning with my best girl friend here in south.

What doesn't kill me makes me stronger :)
